Tom Brady, who was drafted in the 6th round, 199 overall, which was actually a shock to the family of Tom Brady. At the combine he ran a 5.28 40-yard dash, and was extremely scrony, and no one had the eye that he could be a franchise quarterback. Turns out that Bill Belicheck was right about Tom Brady, now going onto his 18th year, with 66,159 passing yards, 488 touchdowns, and 160 interceptions total. Tom Brady is the most elite quarterback to ever play in the league, and thats known by everyone who watches him play, no matter if you like him or not.
Tony Gonzalez, Kansas City Chiefs 1997-2008, Atlanta Falcons 2009-2013
Tony Gonzalez, who was drafted in the 1st round, 13th overall to the Kansas City Cheifs. Gonzalez had not only a football career in college, but a basketball career as well. He could've gone either way for his professional career, but he chose football because he was known as a top 15 pick, and one of the best tight ends in the draft. He finished his career with 15,127 yards, 111 touchdowns, and 1,325 receptions. The only runner up to the greatest tight end would be Rob Gronkowski, and he needs a few more years of healthy playing to beat him.
